The Alpha Junior Gents program is a mentoring program founded by Project Alpha of Los Angeles and operated by the Mu Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in partnership with Verbum Dei High School and The Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles. The program is geared toward serving young men needing mentorship. Our goal is for young men to be fully engaged in a lively, interactive program of instruction and fellowship with successful, adult, African-American male role models. The aim of the program is to build character and confidence by improving life skills and providing tools needed to achieve academic, social, and economic success in the future careers of the Junior Gents.
